On Mangrovie Srl publishing house:

The Mangrovie “lilac line” focuses on Italian Migrant Literature. Our authors are mainly born abroad and have shifted to non mother tongue Italian in their literary expression. Though the "immigration-controversy" is continuing to enliven the social and political debate in Italy, intercultural diversity is leaving its mark on contemporary Italian society as well as on contemporary Italian literature. Being one of the distinguishing characteristics of migration to Italy the extreme dishomogeneity of origin continents and countries, the great number of different homelands and mother tongues is contributing create a particularly coloured and rich literary context. From the telling of their guest-syndromes, go-between and identity struggles, central in their start-up productions, italian migrant writers recently tend to give expression to inventive overlap heroes and stories, while the encounter of the various mother tongues with the different regional idioms and popular speeches absorbed in old Dante’s country, gives birth to surprising linguistic innovations.

The Mangrovie “red line” hosts reportages and diaries, telling sceneries few known and not easily accessible, while the Mangrovie “blue line” publishes essays, mainly on migrant letterature in general.
